Skyport Tycoon

Skyport Tycoon puts you in charge of a small airstrip and lets you grow it into a sprawling hub. You lay out terminals, hire staff, and juggle flight schedules while trying not to annoy your passengers into a meltdown.

The genius is in the pacing. You can play actively or set things running and check back later. Controls are drag-and-tap, and a handy settings toggle lets you turn off the idle notifications that some sims overdo.

It's not the deepest tycoon game out there, but it's friendly, clean, and easy to dip into. Just expect the usual sim battery cost when you leave it running on screen.
