Emberfall Chronicle

Emberfall Chronicle is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing things down. Battles are turn-based, so you can pause mid-fight to answer a message and come back without losing a beat. The writing is better than it needs to be, with companions who actually react to your choices.

The crafting system hooked me more than the main quest at one point. Gathering materials, upgrading gear, and tuning your party's roles gives the long sessions real purpose. Touch menus are tidy and you rarely mis-tap.

Battery drain is moderate during combat-heavy stretches, so I'd keep the brightness in check for longer play. On the whole it's one of the more complete RPG experiences you can carry around.
